We are running SAP Netweaver 7.0 EHP2 Java on HP-UX 11i v3 and Oracle 11g.

now we are upgrading SAP Netweaver 7.3 Java. But we are facing error as given below.

"An error has occurred during the execution of the BIND_SUPPORT_PACKAGES phase.

com.sap.sdt.util.diag.DevelopmentSupportRequiredException: Assertion failed for (Usage 'sap.com/XECO' cannot be found in the mapping) at com.sap.sdt.util.diag.SDT.check(SDT.java:38). com.sap.sdt.util.diag.DevelopmentSupportRequiredException: Assertion failed for (Usage 'sap.com/XECO' cannot be found in the mapping) at com.sap.sdt.util.diag.SDT.check(SDT.java:38).

We have upgraded the Portal from 7.3 to 7.4, and moved all content to the portal 7.4,

but notifications are not working.

Object is not able to fetch the content from the KM. we have compared everything(iView Properties and KM settings).

but couldn't able to trace the issue.

Hello All,

We are upgrading our portal to the latest 7.3 portal and we are having issues with the mathead PAR file.

I imported the par file into NWDS 7.3 and deployed the EAR from NWDS to the 7.3 portal system. However when I try previewing the iView it gives Portal Runtime Exception. I also tried with the PAR Migration tool just to ensure I am not missing something when importing through NWDS. Still the same error with the iView.

My JSP code has errors in NWDS. But as the blogs on SDN says we are getting errors in the code since JSP doesnt compile at runtime, which is correct. I am still able to bundle it in an EAR and deploy successfully. However, is there anything I need to change.... any class references when importing masthead par from 7.0 to 7.3 ? Do I need to add any external libraray JARs for the below imports or we can simply ignore these errors?

We are in the process of upgrading PI system (dual stack) from 7.0 to 7.31, where we are using SUM 1.0 SP9.        OS- AIX 7.1 DB - 9.7

During the preprocessing phase JAVA shows "An error has occurred during the execution of the Start java shadow instance step."

Could not start SAP instance with number 2. The instance with number 2 on host sap-xxx could not be started within the specified timeout.

We are trying to upgrade SAP ERP 6.0 to SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 7, in the pre-processing phase of MAIN_SHDRUN/RUN_RSPTBFIL_INISHD stage we are getting an error where the batchjob RSPTBFIL is failing with DBSQL_INTERNAL_ERROR.There is no sufficient information in PROCESSMACROFILE_RSPTBFIL.LOG, RSPTBSHDIN_PH.LOG , RSPTBSHDIN.SID & SAPup.log

Need your help. Currently we are facing issue in KM multiple uploads.We have Multiple upload option in K8D which is development environment but we are not seeing that option in Production Environment. Please find the screenshots as below ::

We tried to check the settings in K8D and K8P everything is similar. There is no difference so we need experts advise on this issue what we need to do to make multiple uploads available in KM. Since this is a standard functionality but it is only availble in our Development tool.

The SUM screen is showing as "null".

Upgrade has been stuck in that phase. Manually deleted the shadow schema and continued. Still the same error persisits.

Can anybody assist on this, out to get out of this and proceed.

Hi,

We have taken the war file and made some changes to the standard login page.

The deployment was successful but the changes are not visible.

Dear Expert,

We are upgrading our portal from 7.02 to 7.4, there are some ESS/MSS WDJ objects which is standard SAP provided but has been deployed by NWDI tracks in source portal i.e. 7.02. Our client is interested in keeping ESS/MSS WDJ only and don't want to move to WDA.

While using SUM tool for upgrade, the tool is not picking the ESS/MSS component assuming it is custom development...we are not sure what all the changes was done in Standard ESS/MSS package in 7.02. We are left with 2 choices -

1. Re-import the standard ESS/MSS component in source porta 7.02 and then upgrade via SUM tool

2. Upgrade to 7.4 and then apply ESS/MSS package.

Can you suggest which approach would be good..?

Also...still the custom development in source portal is haunting us...is there any way to know via source code or any other method ...the chnages which has been done in standard ESS/MSS package.

As the components all are 7.3 ( xl sheet ) We assumed it will be SAP Netweaver 7.3

But in the installation media of SAP NW7.3 kernels are high ( 7.30 ) and DB Version too.

Can you help , which software to download to make the target system.

if we upgrade the portal from 7 to 7.3, what will happen to the iview, role and page stuff?

will they be upgraded automatically? or we have to do some manual work

if the iview is based on standard sap template.....

if the iview is created based on customized wdj....

I am getting below error while logged into portal even to all users. End user permissions given to everyone group and role eu_role on portal content. I am in ce7.2

I can see assigned roles on the TLN but getting below error if I click on any of the roles.

Trying to upgrade Portal from NW 7.0 to NW 7.3.

When I tried to add SAP ERP 6.0, it produced an inconsistency and also LVSM showed warning; however 3 products as shown above displays no error.

I've tried several options with no luck. I also tried to download stack.xml more than once with different configurations ending up with the same error message.

Does anyone know possible reason for this situation?

I'm planning the following upgrade for BW:

Windows 2003 32bit
SAP BW 3.5
SQL Server 2000 32 bit

Target(New Server)
Windows 2008 R2
SAP NW7.4
SQL Server 2012 64bit

Steps :
1.Install SQL Server 2005 on the target system.
2.Install BW3.5 .
3.Restore Production Copy
4.Upgrade SQL Server 2005 32 bit to 2012 64 bit.
5.Upgrade BW to 7.x

(Collation: is not SQL_Latin1_General_CP850_BIN2)

I’m not sure that it’s possible to Upgrade SQL Server 2005 32 bit to 2012 64 bit directly.
Do you have any idea?

Actually I have a query regarding Big Endian and Little Endian, During the Export of Database, Target Hardware Platform need to be mention as Big Endian or Little Endian (screenshot attached). Now my concern is this, suppose we are migrating from Windows to AIX and I selected my target system as Little Endian (but ofcourse AIX memory architecture is Big Endian). Will I be able to import my DB in AIX although I mentioned my target system as Little Endian. If NO, what need to be done?

Shall I take the complete export again or with some modification we can import it in AIX.
