I have a HTML5 Application which hosted on SAP Enterprise Portal. My Application run only in the IE Standard mode, but Enterprise mode.

If the Enterprise mode is enabled, there was some rendering issue, where all the UI's are displayed in the left side

When ever i click my application url, Enterprise mode is automatically Enabled. i had to disable every time when i access my application.

I have two question.

1. Mostly Web Application must run on both the modes . why the application run only on Standard mode but enterprise mode?

     When i checked about the functionality of Enterprise mode, i came to know that if the application does not work on Standard mode, enabling      Enterprise mode make it work . if the application still not work, maintaining the application url in the compatablity view settings make it work.

2. I have found a way to disable the Enterprise mode from Group policy editor(gpedit.msc) and regedit.

     Is there any way we can disable permanently from Browser setting? not to involve group policy editor and register edit

We have recently migrated from 7.0 to 7.3

And the problem we are facing is we had a customized logon screen in 7.0.

And when we are deploying the same to nwds 7.3,

We are getting this error in logs:

An error occured during authscheme computation.

We are running SAP Netweaver 7.0 EHP2 Java on HP-UX 11i v3 and Oracle 11g.

now we are upgrading SAP Netweaver 7.3 Java. But we are facing error as given below.

"An error has occurred during the execution of the BIND_SUPPORT_PACKAGES phase.

I've got a bit of a nasty problem during an upgrade.

System is running on enterprise linux 6 and with a Oracle DB 11.2.0.3

According to MOPZ:

The upgrade didn't get any farther than the calculation of the queue and then it stopped mentioning that it was missing files for RTLPOSDM to be able to calculate the queue.

Since BI_CONT was on a reasonably old version (and still with the RTLPOSDM packages included in BI_CONT) I decided to upgrade to BI_CONT 707 and RTLPOSDM 100_700. AFfer installing this, this is now the source release.

I am facing an issue while upgrading Java stack from NW 7.0 EHP 1 to NW 7.4 during DEPLOY-KMC-COMPONENTS. FYI, this was after ABAP JAVA split with Keep DB option and upgrading BW ABAP to NW 7.4. Please find the below logs for more information.

Hi All,

We have upgraded our ECC from ehp 5 to ehp7 and installed a new portal 7.31.

I have applied custom theme in portal which is working fine.

But this theme does not apply to WDA(Standard like ESS, MSS and custom) as after upgrade ECC is using sap corbu theme so background color is grey and font is also very different.

We tried changing the stylesheet(downloading ie6 file and changing it and again uploading it) at ECC side but we were getting many dump. So reverted it.

Please let me know whow can we make the look and feel of WDA same as portal theme.

   we need to do customisation on the masthead application available in portal.  Now as   EP 7.3 no longer supports PAR files we were looking to download an EAR file of the  masthead application . We found the SAP  provded masthead appliction  in th efollowing location . 

Content Administartion --> Portal Content Management --> Portal Content (Tab) > Portal Applications> com.sap.portal.navigation.afp.masthead 

But henceforth we are unable to obtain  the EAR format from this applicaton . Some suggestion will be appreciated .

I'm trying to Migrate WebDynpro Java apps through NWDS 7.30; the steps I'm following are here:

first I created a DC in 7.3 , copied the source folders(configuration,mimes packages) from 7.0 and replaced in 7.3.

then performed a reload, changed the activity name and then Launch the migration wizard (performed a Migrate).

At this point the migration wizard should appear (it use to when I perform it on another DC) but nothing happen.

Hi we were upgrading EP Java and went to the Preprocessing phase where patches were applied to shadow instance. We decided we want a different version/set of patches and needed to recalculate stack file. We went ahead and cancelled the upgrade. We proceeded as follows:

1. SUM - Update - Reset Update. Message showed it was reset. Not sure if it "actually" worked. This was done according to SUM guide. Exited out of SUM with no errors.

2. Checked DB table - found schema present SAP<SID>SH - dropped schema with content

3. Checked main schema SAPSR3DB - 565 tables starting with SHD found . Dropped all these tables with cascade and purge.

4. Restored the /usr/sap/SID directory

5. Rebooted Server

6. SAP Starts up fine and everything works fine as before

7. Deleted shadow instance services from registry

8. No profiles found related to shadow instance

9. Deleted old SUM folder. Extracted fresh SUM and started

(Unfortunately in Java there is no option of RSUPGRES/RSUPGREV - neither is there a UVERS table - also there is no DDIC user which is being asked for when I do a SAPup prepare reset)

How do we clean up and do a reset for Java ? Ther's gotta be a place where SUM is reading old entries from. We really dont want to restore the DB but they may be the only solution it seems

Below is the message I get. I have opened a ticket with SAP and already checked OSS Note:

Here is the problem I am facing.

1) The project I am working has Standalone ITS connected to 4.7 SAP server and EP 6.0 used to get data from ITS. 

2) Changes are made to template for SAP standard Leave Request in ESS package.

3) Now we have ECC 6.0 SAP box, I can find changes in template in this server. Now ECC 6.0 server is accessed by SAP 7.0 server.

IAC Services that are created in SAP 4.7 server and accessed through EP 6.0 is not working in ECC 6.0 with EP 7.0.  What is not working is that, changed templates of Leave Request service of ESS is not showing changed template done in SAP 4.7 server.  But it is showing SAP standard templates!!?

Please suggest me where might be the problem, whether SICF is not configured or any other settings missing.

In SICF transaction I have filled following paramters in GUI configuration

We are currently in the process of upgrading our SAP Portal from version 7.01 to version 7.30.

We have a perferctly working solution on version SAP Portal version 7.01 but am struggling to get the same solution to work for version 7.30.

Our SAP Portal system connects to the SAP backend systems (SAP-HR) and (SAP-FI)

Currently for the SAP Portal 7.01 version our solution is as follows:
[01] Header Variable Login has been configured on the SAP Portal.
[02] A junction mapping has been created in TAM for the SAP Portal, SAP HR and SAP FI.
[03] SSO between TAM and the SAP Portal works OK. This means that the Header Variable Login module has been configured correctly.
[04] The 1st tab on our SAP Portal is a BSP page containing information that comes from SAP HR. This currently works as follows:
----- TAM see's that a response has come from a different port number (reading an un-encoded URL)
----- TAM checks its mapping table and finds the apporpriate certificate to pass (along with the MYSAPSSO2 cookie)
----- TAM is then authenticated with SAP HR

We then configured the SAP Portal 7.30 in exactly the same manner, however it fails on step [04], unable to authenticate to SAP HR. The reason is that SAP Portal 7.30 is now using encoded URLs and TAM cannot read them.

Does anyone have a solution as to how TAM can authenticate with SAP backend systems using the new SAP Portal 7.30.

While upgrading our BI system using SUM i am getting missing support packages error for RTLPOSDM component.

Our current BI_CONT version is 703 patch 09. i want to upgrade to version 707. I raised message with SAP and get

suggested to include RTLPOSDM 100 700 content in mopz in add on selection phase. but i have not found any add

on's related to this component in MOPZ. And also SAP suggested to select RTLPOSDM in addon_dyn phase but

i didn't get this phase. Please help me to resolve this issue.

    Recently we have upgraded our portal from 7.0 to 7.3.We have added Area Management role and Accessible Area Management Role to work with the WPC content.

  In this Section i could able to see my content.I am having a WPC page with Paragraph content added to it.

In 7.0 i used to create a WPC iView from com.sap.nw.wpc.runtime portal component,in the iView i use the RID of Compound Document to give the path of the WPC page in KM.

But in 7.3 the contents have been chnaged to different location.Is there any way i can achieve the same in 7.3?

Any documentation about WPC web Content iView?
