I’m actually working in a migration project, from 4.6C to 6.00 release, within an Oil & Gas Company, but it’s not a technical migration. Additionally, this migration done from an old server to a new one is made out of the end of the fiscal year.
This means that the operations done in the months previous to the migration remains in the original release and server, and the operations done after the migration, in the new one.
This Company has operations (Activity allocations) which demands anually an actual Price calculation process, and then a Revaluation process. These processes demands to have all the info in the same environment.
This particular situation (these calculations) should oblige to migrate (whatever the method) all the operations done in CO, needed to do them.
This secondary costs migration is not normal procedure in these projects, but I should like to know if someone has had this kind of situation ever, as to share experiences.
