Right now I am working on the Portal and MDM integration. The versions are as given below.
Portal : SAP EP 7.3 SP 05
MDM : MDM 7.1 SP07.
Done So far :
I have deployed the Portal business package for MDM in the Netweaver 7.3. Now I am able to see the standard iViews provided by SAP.
I have created a system (from MDM system template) to connect to the MDM host server by providing MDM host name and port number. Then I have provided the repository name in MDM.
When I check the connection test, it failed. I checked the log and found the error as given below.
com.sap.mdm.logging.MdmLogger error
SEVERE: Cannot create JCA connection. Cause exception: Can not create connection to MDM Server 'DUMMY_NAME:<Port number>' due to one of the following: (1) server does not exist, (2) server is not started, (3) SSL problem or (4) Input/Output problem...
Note : I have entered the MDM host server name in System connection properties. But in the log it is displayed as "Dummy_name". I can see that I am missing some configuration. But I couldn't find out what. can you expers throw some light on this issue?
